I would say an index is needed at a minimum, followed by multiple examples for most game concepts. A glossary of terms would be very helpful, as well as a consistent look-up table for EVERY symbol and EVERY card that is referred to within the game and the rules (Q: The last page shows enemy token symbols, but what about every other symbol used in the game? A: They are defined on page 4 rules 4a&b, page 5 rule 5e, page 6 rules 2 and 2d....) Needs formatting-wise: Larger fonts, consistency in what gets bolded vs italicized vs bold italicized vs bulleted vs sub-bulleted, language consistency ("you are allowed" vs "it is allowed"), more diagrams.

And that would be a pretty good start. If the game needs video introductions, then include that as part of the "rulebook". It wouldn't be the first time that was done. If the game is going to go to the trouble of adding 3 potentially confusing colored dots to every character card for one aspect of the game, don't bury that information in the Scenario Book (which is formatted completely differently from the rest of the Rulebook). If a FAQ is needed, add a FAQ.

I would hate most of this stuff. It just makes the rules much longer, for no good reason. If the rules are written precisely (which they are), then examples don't add much of anything, they just create confusion, as people try to generalize from examples (a much more difficult way to learn than just following the specific text). If people want all of these additional things it's easy for fans or others to generate them, just keep them separate from the rules. There's nothing wrong with you wanting something different than what I want, but it's not "obvious" that what you want is right and what I want is wrong.
