OK... I've been playing it wrong then. Something about the rule book saying something like... oh I don't know"The game ends IMEDIATELY (I added the caps) once the marker crosses the line." I kind of interpret words like that to mean the same as "Do not pass go, do not collect $200."
What the rules SHOULD say is: "The games ends after the completion of the current round on which the die crosses the season line between 12 and 1 - AFTER all end of round and end of season effects have taken place."
Which kinda destroys the effectiveness of using Temporal Boots to end the game quickly.
Oh well, at least now I know. :)
