Hi,
Here are your answers:

1/ If you reveal two Merlin cards that each remove the highest card of a given Quest, then the two highest cards of this Quest are removed before calculating the Quests' outcome.

2/ The card colors being similar is by design. It also matches the colors of the board game.

3/ If the Morgan #7 and Merlin #5 are in the Threat pile when a player goes on a Quest: even if the Quest is won thanks to the Merlin #5, the Morgan #7 still applies if the total value of the cards on that Quest is 14 or higher.
Which means that the game would be lost in this case.

4/ You don't have to wait for a Merlin card: When a player decides to go on a quest, he simply assumes that the player that just announced the value of the card before him did not lie.
For example, let's say that I play just before you. I take the first card of the deck, take a look at it, and place it face down on the threat pile, announcing "this is a dragon 4". Then you can decide to go on the dragon quest, even if I lied. It is important to reshuffle the threat pile before calculating the quests' value though - otherwise other players can easily see that I lied if that is the case.

5/ Seeing the rumor deck is very powerful though as you can anticipate the rumors and focus on one of them.

Hope it helps.
