The artwork was really nice (reminded me in the quality of lord of the rings the card game), the dice were not. But this was a preproduction copy anyway, and apparently they are doing an overhaul of the dice and the play mats of the players at the moment, so the final game will look different anyhow.
Hopefully the final dice will be similar quality to the later releases of Quarriors proper. Were the locations fixed and following a story like progression or did they just come out as part of drawing from a deck, etc?
The locations are following the path of the fellowship in lotr, as far as I could see. They are numbered and we played from 1 upwards. I didn't ask if there are other story lines, but I guess it doesn't matter much.
A bit of flavor text, a nice picture, instructions like "add a weapon from the weapon deck, add armor from armor deck, add x dice to saurons deck" and which special ability the sauron symbols on the dice have at that particular location. For example, extra corruption that the sauron player must place.
