I finally tried it with my loyal friends!:) All my predictions held, evil side win like piece of cake.
I used following characters:
Merlin, Parcival, Mocarna, Mordred, Assassin. (Sorry if I spelled any character wrong.)
I very luckily played all characters once except Mocarna.
1. Parcival indeed is the most fun character in this game, he knows everything and can talk freely.
2. Even me, who played resistance 100+ times, cannot play Merlin well. I hided myself very well, but I can't give too much information, I realize it is not only the Merlin needs to be Pro, all other Goods need to be Pro to protect him.
3. Incorporation of "Plot cards" of the first edition is impossible, if evil gets the "check identity" cards, they may win instantly, at least they know who not to kill.
4. Excluding Merlin is also impossible, every character is built upon Merlin, if he is removed, then it is just original Resistance.
Why I suggest the assassination happen earlier and no discussion between evils? So fewer clue they can get and so the game is more balanced. I will update my thoughts as more games played.

Why play your first game with everything and the kitchen sink thrown in? Doesn't seem like a very valid way to evaluate Merlin as you were hoping to do...
