That's how we play too.For the OP question about the Gor in the tree, I think he just hangs around. Anyway if there's a Gor near the tree, the alarm has surely been triggered and at that point you will certainly lose before he reaches the treetop, barring special conditions... Don't forget that if you spot a gor with the Telescope that doesn't activate him.
