I find it incredibly revolting that so many people are up in arms about how there's "no point" in pre-ordering through Plaid Hat directly, when 90% of the issues were U.S. Customs and the morons at the fulfillment company. Neither of which Colby had any direct control over.Is your world so small that some random person on the Internet getting a game before you because of a shipping snafu makes you this angry?
Really?
Especially since most people are going to play it a handful of times, ever, before letting it collect dust on the shelf or trading it away.
I mean if you want to get mad, go look through the Ground Floor forums. The game was supposedly going to go to Kickstarter backers first, but ended up being sold through normal retail channels at Essen. Something that Michael Mindes apparently "forgot about months ago", despite the campaign page declaring that all backers will receive the game a full month, at least, before any conventions.
