The cards look like they are printed on heavy than typical cardstock.
What is the paper basis weight / gauge of stock used on each of the components? i.e. counters, game board, and cards
What are the dimensions of these cards and will they fit into standard commercially available sleeves? If so, which ones and from which manufacturer?

I have asked Mark to respond to the question of stock and thickness. I honestly don't know a thing about that. I did receive the proto-type proof today and I measured the cards at 3 1/2 by 2 1/2.
The printer gave us two sets of cards, one glossy and one matte. The matte seems a bit sturdier so I think I'd like to go with that finish. It seems to have a grip on it also, a slightly rough exterior. I will see what the design team says this weekend when they come by to throroughly scour this proof, before we send it back.
My initial impressions are overall very good. What else would I say right? But honestly, I was expecting problems (given our history) and I didn't find any (yet).
The game board is actually two boards that join together. This was a surprise I only learned about in the last several days. I was initially disappointed by this, but I was reassured by several folks that it is not uncommon. After receiving it today, the boards mesh together nicely and doesn't seem to be a problem. I guess I will wait to play it this Sunday before I have a final opinion on it. In either event, that is pretty much out of my control at this point. There was just no way to do it with an over-sized board of uncommon dimensions.
I was pleased with the counters. They are the standard thickness of LNL games, but they are oversized at 1 inch square.
I will post another report after we play it on Sunday. Hopefully I will be sending this back to Mark at LNL with 2 thumbs up and we can go to print.
