When you pay big bucks for a film license, you use the film images, and don't spend _more_ big bucks for artists' works. Of course, if you're WizKids, you also don't spend any bucks for a decent graphic designer. Sorry, WizKids, but LotR:Nazgûl is the single ugliest Tolkien game I have seen in my long life. Cryptozoic's cards are bland, and overly familiar by now with the movie images, but inoffensive at any rate.I don't know how Time-Warner is doing things, but it looks like the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings film licenses are going as a package, so if someone wants to get on the Hobbit movie gravy-train, they may have to buy into the LotR film property too. I am not sure I can see any other reason to be bringing out LotR film-image merchandise at this time.
