Spirit Island is a very good solo/ 2 player game, but it’s a hour and a half optimisation puzzler. There is a lot of variety due to the spirits in the box and the difficulty levels with the invaders, which is great, but I would not put this in the same bucket as TMB or GH. If you enjoyed the exploration, combat, progression, loot, story and otherwise fantasy rpg feel of GH, you won’t find anything similar in SI.I would suggest Mage Knight as a more similar option. Plays ina single evening, can be played solo and two players, competitively or cooperatively. Definitely has that fantasy/ exploration/ character progression/ etc feel. If you get the ultimate version,it’s priced between SI and TMB.
