Thread: Colossal Cave: The Board Game:: Rules:: reference cards

I’ve started thinking (admittedly way to early) about making reference cards for players at my game table. If I understood Arthur’s recently uploaded rule set then a basic summary would be:

Steps to do in each turn:

1. Any potential start-of-turn activities offered by your cards’ instructions.
2. Draw a card. (If the draw pile is empty then discard pile is reshuffled and reused - but not before the need.)
3. Move a space on the map or stay where you are. (Players, including yourself, can then play reaction cards)
4. Do one of these:

A. Play an action or item card. (Players, including yourself, can then play reaction cards).
B. Draw another card (again, reusing the discard pile if need be.)
C. Move another space on the map (Players, including yourself, can then play reaction cards).
Or
D. Deposit a treasure.

Cards can be:

· Played (from out of your hand). This is the only type of card action that allows the playing of reaction cards.

· Discarded (voluntarily out of your inventory and involuntarily out of your hand).

· Deposited (treasures only and also from your inventory)

· Revealed (items used in their "Defends against" role and from your hand)

· Acquired (moved from wherever they are into your inventory)

Any thoughts or corrections?
