Jaheira has 2 form cards:* Shapeshift: Bear Form (2 hearts)
* Shapeshift: Wolf FOrm (2 attacks)
Neither of these cards has shields.
If you are referring to Bearnard (2 shields + wild symbol), this card is played like any Shield card that has extra effects. So when you play Bearnard, you do one of the following depending on your form:
* Nothing (if you have no form)
* 1 Heal (if in bear form)
* 1 Attack (if in Wolf form)
The card remains in front of you and is a shield card that operates just like any other shield card.
