Just finished our first 4 player game. we are all experienced gamers and faced the final lord on round 5. We had all ascended and got one rune each.Final Lord had 4 Champions with him. We killed the final lord but didn’t do any damage on the Champions. Is this required for a win? The rules say we just need to defeat the final lord. I think it would be virtually impossible to beat Final lord and all 4 champions.
Also to clarify the ‘Marked for death” ability. It reads “your target takes 3 extra damage this turn for each critical applied to it”. We took this as meaning that all players crits counted as +3. So if we had 5 crits between 4 players it counted as 25 damage. Is this correct or was the intention to mean that only crits rolled by that character?
When using allies we played that the tactics dice determines what attacks they do to the enemies. Is this correct?
Also do allies that survive an assault continue to the next assault? We played it that they did not and we just drew new allies depending on the level. But this meant that we did not have any allies going into the final lord assault which is strange since we had allies in the previous less difficult battles.
I would be interested to know if we played this correctly and actually won on our first game.
