Have both, enjoy both.

But as has been said a time or two... they are different games.

“Best” is such a non-objective concept that it’s meaningless without a frame of reference.

GH:J is best if I’m in the mood for mainly combat and tactics, a non traditional fantasy setting, and not having to squint at the cards.

JIME is best if I’m in the mood for a rich adventure story experience, long term strategy, epic flavor, and getting to use all those minis I painted.

I set GH:J aside after completing the first 5 or 6 scenarios, because JIME: Shadowed Paths got here. Chapter 7 sits on my table in media res due to some family health stuff and hectic schedule.

Honestly, I may not get GH:J it back out till Christmas, but that has nothing to do with preferences or what’s best. It’s more about new stuff coming in and Halloween Horror gaming traditions. I mean, besides finishing JIME SHadowed Paths, Marvel Champions Rise of Red Skull arrives, Fallout: Atomic Bonds arrives, Horrorween gaming traditions mean there’ll be plenty of Mansions of Madness, Camp Grizzly, Arkham Horror, etc, and then Altar Quest also probably arrives in late October/early November too.

But I will get back to GH:J sooner or later. Probably in the window between Christmas and whenever Final Girl shows up to darken my doorstep.

Dang it’s a great time to be addicted to cardboard and molded resin!
