So can I block a creature with Boromir, raise my threat by 1, ready him, then attack the same creature back?

Can I attack one creature with Boromir, raise threat by 1, then attack another creature with Boromir?

Thanks in advance, this was probably asked when he was first released, but I have just gotten around to using him. Plus there are 109 pages here on BGG under "rules."
