The wording is (bolded by me):
"Play this card when activating a monster during your turn. That monster may perform an additional attack action this turn in addition to its normal 2 actions."
As previously explained you get a third action which you can only use to make an attack (the timing is up to you). Thus, you can't use the third action to activate an (active) monster ability which results in a special attack (or any other active monster ability for that matter). Seems pretty clear cut to me too.
