Well, my 6 year old LOVES this game. We watched undeadviking's great review of this game, which kept my son saying, yes, we have to get this game. And so we did, and boy oh boy, this is totally perfect for him, which makes it fun for me too.

By the way, my kid loves the detested UNO, and we enjoy playing it with him - we always bring it with us when camping. He also digs Forbidden Island, which is very tense and intense for hime, and that mnakes this game come alive for me too. And golly, King of Tokyo is totally cool, and there's all that treasure in The Adventurers: The Temple of Chac! It doesn;t matter if he wins, loses, dies, resurrects, he loves playing boardgames! Can't ask for anything more! I see that my son will be my major gaming partner! To a certain extent, he is changing my tastes in board games, as I look for more "flavorful" euros and downright thematic games that we can play now and in the future. So at this time, Lords of Waterdeep and Helden in der Unterwelt, and even Claustrophobia, are appealing more to me than The Castles of Burgundy and Hansa Teutonica and Troyes. That's a pretty big shift for this parent.

But honestly, not even my kid will make me really like Niagara or Castle Panic and such, but I will always happily play those with him regardless.
