Thanks again for all of this man, I'm with the guy from earlier in the thread when I say I'd probably have sold the game by now if not for the promise if your rule updates. I really wanted to love this game and the base rules were just so far from the spirit of what I felt Dark Souls was that I was super disappointed. I'm eager to see where you go from here.I wanted to +1 on the dodge update it always felt like it wasn't worth it, it was always safer to just mitigate with armor/shields and play it conservative. However, in the video game as your skill improved as a player dodge became much more viable if not mandatory for high end play. Have you ever thought about a way to make dodge a combination of a roll coupled with a good tactical decision? It's hard to explain, but when you choose to dodge because you've gone heavy dodge build it is usually because you're armor mitigation would almost be as bad as just taking the full hit to the face, but when you dodge its always just a % chance to succeed which also doesn't feel quite right. I almost wish there was some kid of timing element involved, but I have no idea how to make that work. Anyway, I was just curious if you'd ever thought about approaching dodge from an angle that was more than just adding dice to increase % chance. Thanks!
