I would recommend making all of the changes Isaac said would carry over to Frosthaven except for the "Hexes are considered empty if it has no figure, obstacle, objective, trap, or difficult terrain. It has removed “token” from the wording. This allows for spawns to happen on a space that has a coin in it." rule. This would break scenarios with Oozes or other summoning enemies. The other rules do make the game very slightly easier, but I feel like they also make play much smoother.
