Thread: Gloomhaven:: General:: Gloomhaven Loop for Artifact Lost Achivement
by gloukas
Hello guys,i'm a bit of stuck in the campaign of Gloomhaven with Arifact Lost Achievement.
[o]
So here is my problem. I have unlocked dungeon #27 which requires Artifact Lost Global Achievement (which i have incomplete). As i've seen in other threads in order to get Artifact Lost Achievement you have to follow the dungeon sequence: 1 -> 2 -> 4 -> 5 -> 10 -> 22 -> 35. As for now i have unlocked till dungeon #10. And here comes the problem: In order to play dungeon #10 requirement is to have unlocked achievement The Rift Neutralized which is obtained from dungeon #27. So in order to enter dungeon #27 you must have passed through dungeon #10 (which requires achievement from #27) to #35 (which provides necessary achievement for #27).
What is the solution to this?

Thank you in advance!

I think you mixed up the names on Gather the Scattered Light of Stars and Shape the Self Anew. Your intent is still clear, though. My go-to is just beelining the plays track, which is certainly capable of triggering an innate on turn 2, and in general is more than viable. I like the look of this plan, although I'm not sure how much advantage it offers; the use of the big reclaim on Gather is exceedingly clever (it's something I've never really managed to get much mileage out of on the current iteration of Starlight) but you're spending an awful lot of plays on reclaiming. I suspect it will depend somewhat on how vulnerable the adversary/scenario is to explorer control from your Moon innate.

That's what I thought, but if you look at the glossary for On Hit, it says that its applied before you roll hit location dice, and you don't have the option to dodge until after you roll hit locations. It's some ambiguous wording with when On Hit is applied and the effect of Dodge and what constitutes a Hit Attempt between all the glossary definitions. They seem to contradict each other.

I mean, I'd quite like to see a proper global apocalypse happen in a scenario. Circle Undone went there a bit, and depending on the ending, so does Forgotten Age, but like, devastated cities, insane masses surging in the streets celebrating and murdering, all the good stuff the Cthulhu cult promised.Have Cthulhu wake up scenario four, followed by three scenarios of post-apocalyptic survival and a desperate struggle to seal Cthulhu back away, followed by a hopeful epilogue of civilization rebuidling from the ruins.

Thread: Heroes of Terrinoth:: Rules:: Kari's Special Ability Question
by dumbnlazy
Does her special ability says "Before your action, you may discard 1 success token to choose an enemy. That enemy suffers 1 health token." Question: Does that include ANY enemy on the board - including the shadows or engaged with another hero - or just an engaged enemy?Thematically it would seem that a Scout could get a quick hit on an engaged enemy, not one engaged with another hero or one hiding in the shadows.
I really think I am overthinking this game!

There is no KS exclusive and creators are ok for a larger distribution if any retailer wants to be in.But this is a big game, hence a risky investment.
For the moment nobody knows about a retail distribution.

In this case it seems to mean what it says. If it meant "an engaged enemy" it would say that.↧

Thread: Argent: The Consortium:: Rules:: "Until your next turn" resolving.
by Eahl
Some spell card claim its effect "until your next turn".
Let's imagine I played a spell that forbids placing mages until my next turn. Then somebody took last bell tower card ending the round.
1. Can other player use the spell that allows him place mage(s) after last bell tower card was taken?
2. Let's assume I'm not the first player next round. Are other players allowed to place their mages until my turn cames?
Thanks for help

Reply: Rune Stones:: Rules:: Re: Exchange artifacts both rows?
by Masakari
I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear:Due to the rule before "only one rune stone" each round, you should read the sentence "get points" and "get rune stone" separately.
In the English rule, after the "Take power points" there is the overview table and then, referring only to the fact that if you get points, you can take an additional rune stone.
The problem with this is the "and" in the sentence that talks about points. You can read the sentence in two ways.
Case 1) You take the points and one rune stone for each row. Or Case 2) You take the points for each row and then a rune stone. Depending on whether you refer to the "for each row" as points and rune stone or just the points. Without the rule at the top you could argue, but at least for me it is clear that the wording is very, very unfortunate. It is always very unfortunate when you mention two possibilities and then mention an episode in the same sentence that is independent of the possibility. In German this is already difficult, but in English I think it is even more difficult.
I'll see if my other rule questions are clarified somewhere in the forum and leave the thread here.

[o]We played that you didn't activate the card until the beginning of the player's next turn, but that you either played the card for its skill points OR you played it for the discard swap. So the play order would look like:1. Finish turn and draw a new hand, shuffling discard pile as needed to draw the full 5 cards.
2. Use cards from your hand as needed to address any Events that are drawn between your turns.
3. Start your next turn and immediately decide whether to use the Lost Amulet for its skill points or for its swap ability.[/o]
